Urgent freight · arranged with vetted carriers
Expedited and backup freight when your carrier falls through
Expedited freight and backup capacity in the Seattle area are for the day a truck cancels the morning of pickup, a customer moves the deadline up, or a part has to reach a line that is about to stop. When freight cannot wait, we look for a vetted carrier with a truck nearby and keep at it until we find one or can tell you plainly that none is free in time. The carrier hauls under its own authority; we arrange it.
What expedited means here
Expedited is not a different kind of truck; it is a different kind of search. We go after carriers that are empty near your pickup right now, match the equipment to the freight, and line up the first carrier that passes our checks. Same-day or next-day pickup is possible when a suitable truck is available, and we say so plainly when it is not.
For long runs where the freight must keep moving, some carriers can assign a team of two drivers who take turns at the wheel. A team is booked only when the carrier has one available, and it costs more than a single driver. For short urgent runs, a cargo van or a box truck is often easier to find than a full trailer.
When shippers turn to us for backup
- Your regular carrier cancelled or did not show up for a scheduled pickup.
- A production line needs parts before it stops.
- A retail or event delivery date was moved earlier than planned.
- A rejected or damaged shipment has to be replaced quickly.
How a rush load is arranged
- You tell us the pickup and delivery points, what the freight is, its weight and when it must be picked up.
- A person reviews the request, checks which carriers are nearby and confirms a price with you.
- You approve, and we book the carrier after checking its authority and insurance like on any other load.
- You follow the truck with a tracking link, and we stay on the load until the delivery is confirmed.
What we need right away
Speed starts with complete details: the pickup and delivery addresses with their hours, the number of pallets or pieces, the weight, the latest pickup time and the delivery deadline, plus who can release and who can receive the freight. If you already have the bill of lading or a PO number, send it too. When the clock is running, a phone call is usually the quickest way to start.
Pricing an urgent load
An expedited price reflects the truck that is free on short notice, so it is usually higher than a load booked days ahead. The online instant quote is only a reference price; a person confirms the actual price with you before booking. Detention, an extra stop, a truck ordered and not used, or a team of drivers are billed as the terms of your quote describe.

Expedited freight questions
How quickly do you confirm a truck?
A person reviews your request and replies as soon as there is an answer, whether that is a carrier, a price or the news that no suitable truck is available in time. How long the search takes depends on the lane, the equipment and the hour, so we don't quote a fixed time.
Does expedited cost more?
Usually, yes. A truck that changes its plans for your freight, runs empty to reach you or uses a team of drivers costs more than a load planned in advance. You see the price and approve it before anything is booked.
Can you arrange a pickup on the weekend?
Our team works 24 hours Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sunday. A weekend pickup or delivery depends on whether a carrier is available and whether the shipper and the receiver are open, so contact us as early as you can.
